Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5
SYN-COLL — a peptide activator of TGF-β that initiates natural collagen synthesis from within. Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 mimics thrombospondin-1 and activates the skin's own collagenogenesis without introducing collagen from outside. One of the most effective peptides against sagging and wrinkles.
What is it?
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 — palmitoyl ester of the tripeptide Lys-Val-Lys (or KVK). Trade name SYN-COLL® (DSM). The mechanism is unique: the peptide mimics the domain of thrombospondin-1 — an extracellular protein that activates latent TGF-β1. TGF-β1 is a powerful stimulator of collagen I, II, and III synthesis in fibroblasts. Thus, the peptide 'turns on' the natural collagenogenesis cascade rather than simply supplying amino acids.
Premium anti-aging serums and lifting creams. Effective concentration from 1–3 ppm. Works well with other peptides (Matrixyl, adenosine) and antioxidants.

Main Actions
Matrixyl (palmitoyl pentapeptide-4) — a matrikine: a fragment of collagen that signals damage. SYN-COLL (palmitoyl tripeptide-5) — a TGF-β activator: initiates a higher signaling cascade. Different mechanisms, but both stimulate collagen. The combination of two approaches in one formula — synergy.
