Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12
Leuphasyl — antagonist of painful receptors at the neuromuscular junction. It blocks the contraction of mimic muscles, reducing the depth of wrinkles without injections. It potentiates the action of Argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-3) by 2 times.
What is it?
Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12 — palmitoyl ester of hexapeptide (sequence TSLLDN). Trade name Leuphasyl® (Lipotec/Lubrizol). Mechanism of action: analogue of enk-peptide (enkephalin-like), modulating the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. Unlike Argireline (which blocks the SNARE complex), Leuphasyl acts through opioid receptors — a different, complementary mechanism. Effective concentration: 4–5 ppm.
Anti-aging formulas for mimic zones (forehead, periorbital area, nasolabial folds). Most effective in combination with acetyl hexapeptide-3 (Argireline) or Leuphasyl-Argireline blend.

Main Actions
Argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-3) — blocks SNARE, reduces the release of mediators. Leuphasyl (palmitoyl hexapeptide-12) — μ-opioid modulation, reduces acetylcholine. SNAP-8 (acetyl octapeptide-3) — an extended version of Argireline, a larger molecule. All three — different mechanisms of blocking neurotransmission. For maximum effect: Argireline + Leuphasyl (minimum), SNAP-8 can be added.
