What is it?

Hexapeptide-11 — hexapeptide obtained from the hydrolysate of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker's yeast). Trade name Filmexel® (Silab). Key property: stimulates the synthesis of laminin-5 and collagen type IV — components of the basement membrane between the epidermis and dermis. The basement membrane is a structure that supports the adhesion of skin layers and provides nutrition to the epidermis. With age and UV damage, the basement membrane thins — hexapeptide-11 restores it.

Anti-aging and regenerative products. Especially effective for loss of tone and skin that requires structural restoration. Effective in concentrations of 1–5%.

Stimulates the synthesis of laminin-5, collagen IV, and fibronectin — key proteins of the basement membrane. Restoration of the dermal-epidermal junction improves nutrition to the epidermis, increases tone and elasticity. An effect that most peptides stimulating only collagen I/III in the dermis do not provide.
