What is it?

Ceramides are natural lipids that make up about 50% of the intercellular matrix of the stratum corneum. Synthetic analogs are used in cosmetics: ceramide NP, ceramide AP, ceramide EOP, ceramide NS, and others.

They are used in moisturizing creams, barrier serums, and products for dry and sensitive skin. Especially effective in combination with cholesterol and fatty acids.
