Caffeine
A stimulating ingredient with vasoconstrictive and antioxidant properties. Caffeine reduces puffiness and dark circles under the eyes, as well as protects the skin from UV-induced damage.
What is it?
Caffeine — a methylxanthine found in coffee, tea, and guarana. In cosmetics, it penetrates the skin and acts locally. Mechanisms: vasoconstriction (reducing puffiness), phosphodiesterase inhibition (lipolysis), antioxidant action. In INCI: Caffeine or Coffea Arabica Seed Extract.
It is mainly used in eye creams and gels, serums for puffiness. It is also used in anti-cellulite products and creams for dark circles. Effective concentration — from 3%.
